I’m also a passionate dog trainer, and there’s nothing I enjoy more than taking my pups out into the woods for some off-the-grid training and forest air.

Hi, I’m Al. I’ve been a passionate bike mechanic for over 20 years and was once an avid cyclist and racer. These days, I work at the shop as a mechanic and have been part of the team for the past five years. When I’m not wrenching on bikes, you’ll find me hiking with my dog, going for long walks, or cruising to get ice cream in my Miata.

I've been working for Coastal Maine Outdoors since 2012, and have been a registered Maine guide for nine of those years. I grew up and have lived in Kennebunk my whole life, and the waterways and trails of this area have been my backyard for as long as I can remember. Aside from that, I'm a musician, a teacher, and a gardener content in my own little Shire in this beautiful town.

Hello, I’m Ruthie. As a lifelong Kennebunkport resident, I love our beautiful town, its tidal rivers, magical forests, and coastal inlets. I’ve worked at Coastal Maine Hike and Bike for six years, and became a licensed Sea Kayak Guide in 2023. I love being on the water in a kayak and in the forests by foot, and am honored to help share the the peace, inspiration, and beautiful ecosystems Maine generously offers. The beauty of our amazing state inspires my lifelong work as an artist, and I love to get to share it with others!
